Choose the Application

Once upon a time, a shower was just a shower.  But it seems to be such a personal thing now, and there are more options than ever before.
Usually, the type of bathroom will guide what type of showerhead you choose.
Do you have a huge space and you’re looking for a Day-Spa vibe?  Is it more of a high functioning family space?  Do you need to wash the kids over a bathtub?
Or maybe it’s for a small ensuite?  Maybe you want multiple options and need a complete showerset?
At this point, you should have a clear idea of the type of bathroom you are working with, rather than the style.

Choose the Size

Now you can move onto the next important decision, the size of your showerhead.
It feels like such a small detail, that anything new will look great.  But it can have a big impact on the overall look of your new bathroom.
The size you choose will also depend on the size of your shower cavity.  So rather than choosing a large rain shower head for an small ensuite, maybe try a smaller option.
Likewise, if you have a generous family bathroom, one small showerhead may not look great either.  Something like double rain showerheads may be better.
Above all, you want it to be in proportion within the space.

Water Stream & Consumption

Lets face it, the water stream can also have a big impact on your showering experience.  And the amount of water the showerhead uses, might be an important factor in your decision.  This is where the WELS rating may be helpful.  By checking on the WELS rating and flow rate, you can make an informed decision about the best showerhead for your new bathroom.
If you’re looking for a precise water stream, maybe a small to medium handheld showerhead option is best.  Or if you want a luxurious, waterfall vibe you should definitely go for something like a rain showerhead!

Choose your Style

Okay, now for some fun stuff!  Showerheads come in so many shapes, sizes and finishes that you can really have whatever you like.
If Hamptons is your style, try a Chrome or Brushed Nickel finished gooseneck showerarm & rain showerhead.
Or, is Minimal Modern more your vibe?  Go for a ceiling mounted shower dropper & rain showerhead.
Maybe your family bathroom needs to be more versatile.  If you have a bathtub, why not try a wall mounted handheld showerhead on a clip?
This comes in handy for washing the kids hair, plus they’ll think it’s super FUN!
But if your space is more modest, a mid-sized handheld showerhead & shower rail might be the perfect solution!
Once you finalise the style, it’s onto finishes.  With options like Brushed Brass, Gunmetal, Brushed Nickel, White, Matte Black, the possibilities are amazing…

Wrapping up…

So while the showerhead may seem like an easy decision, there is a lot to consider.  Try and think about the shower experience you want every day.
Do you prefer a heavier stream of  water?  Or maybe you like a more precise, finer stream?
Maybe the water consumption is the most important to you. Whatever it may be, all of these factors can affect your final choice.
We’d love to hear about what style and type you prefer.  Maybe you’ve just finished your bathroom…we’d love to see the outcome, and tell us if you’re loving your choice!
