Inside The Block Kitchens 2026

Kitchen Week is always a defining moment on The Block, with contestants bringing their culinary spaces to life under the spotlight. This year, the pressure to deliver standout kitchen designs was greater than ever. 

For the first time in the show's 22 seasons, the Blockheads are renovating homes with water views, set across six blocks in Mt Eliza on the Mornington Peninsula.

Kitchen Week came down to a 1.5-point gap, and it was Adam and Jolene who came out on top and comfortably enough that they didn't even need the bonus-point gnome they played to lock in a perfect 30 out of 30. The massive $100,000+ prize package gives them a huge financial advantage and invaluable momentum heading into the final stages of the competition.

Kitchen Week marked a second big win for Adam and Jolene, coming just weeks after their breakthrough in Living and Dining. Their L-shaped kitchen feels warm and inviting, with plenty of space for everyday life. Soft Dune Oak Woodmatt cabinetry by Polytec sets the tone, paired with antique brass handles from Momo Handles and creamy Cosentino Dekton Ava surfaces. A generous island creates a natural spot for preparing meals or gathering together, while tunable lighting can shift the mood from warm to cool.

“It’s probably one of the best kitchens I’ve ever seen. And I’ve been in the game for twenty years,” remarked Judge Marty Fox. 

“I’m blown away by how considered and elegant everything looks,” added fellow Judge Darren Palmer. 

Flowing from the kitchen, the butler's pantry offers generous storage, additional bench space, and a dedicated cleaning zone, with pull-out storage, inner drawers, and specialised trays that make the most of every inch.

“What I love about Adam and Jolene [is that] they’ve grown in their style and in their taste,” said Judge Shaynna Blaze. 

For the kitchen, Adam and Jolene chose our Elysian Commercial Pull-Out Mixer and Seba Single Sink in Antique Bronze, complete with a matching waste. The finish carries through to the pantry, where the Elysian Mixer and our award-winning Mini Water Filter Tap are paired with our Vita Double Kitchen Sink for a cohesive look.

Darren was equally taken with the hardware itself: "Taps and handles are jewellery… and these knobs and handles are elegant."

The judges were particularly impressed by the strategic placement of the three massive Velux skylights, which flooded the entire preparation area with exceptional natural light. 

"The way these skylights align directly above the central workspace completely eliminates any dark pockets, turning what could have been a shadowed pocket into a luxury architectural feature," praised Darren Palmer.

Chantel and Wyatt’s kitchen is designed around cooking, entertaining and everyday life. Neutral shaker-style cabinetry, including Byron doors in Neutral Stone Smooth, pairs with marble-look Cosentino Eclos Wondr surfaces and brushed brass Livorno handles from Momo Handles. A generous island provides everyone with a place to gather, while integrated appliances and smart storage keep the kitchen streamlined and organised.

“Wow... That would shoot so well; it’s so symmetrical,” said Judge Marty Fox. 

While Shaynna Blaze, who was highly impressed by their stone selection and choice of lighting, added, “I think that is perfection.”

The galley-style butler’s pantry continues the kitchen’s design, with generous bench space for food preparation, pull-out storage and specialised internal accessories to keep everything organised and within easy reach.

Chantel and Wyatt continued the brushed brass accents with our Elysian Commercial Pull-Out Mixer, matching waste and Mini Water Filter Tap, alongside our Glass Cleaner with Drain. A Vienna Single Sink in White Granite completes the kitchen’s light, neutral palette.

Although he noted that the storage choices didn’t make sense to him, Darren made a positive remark about the aesthetics of this space. "I love the bench curves in the butler's pantry.”

Shaynna was in agreement: “All the cold functions are in the same spot, which is made even better by a very luxurious curve at the end of the fridge cabinetry. These details say 'high-end.'"

“We’ve gone a bit over to the dark side, so taking a bit of a risk here,” said blockhead Lisa regarding her choice of rich, dark walnut timber for the cabinetry. 

As a result, Lisa and Rosco’s kitchen feels warm and welcoming, with Polytec Vista cabinetry in Rosewood Oak Woodmatt paired with earthy, travertine-inspired Cosentino Dekton Sabbia surfaces. Sculptural arches soften the space, while Aspen Pull handles from Momo Handles add to the rich palette. Brushed copper continues through our Elysian Commercial Pull-Out Kitchen Mixer and Seba Single Kitchen Sink, bringing another layer of warmth to the design. A generous island provides plenty of room for preparing meals, entertaining, and gathering.

“Oh, look at this! It's just everything, the colour, the size... WOW,” said Shaynna, who was blown away by their gargantuan stone island bench and how seamlessly the dark chocolate walnut tones complemented the living and dining areas. She was also a huge fan of our brushed copper sink and the use of arches in the space. 

"I never thought I'd say I like an arch again, but these arches… I feel like I'm being taken to another land," she continued.

Designed to keep everyday mess tucked away, their butler’s pantry offers ample storage and dedicated zones for preparing, cooking, and cleaning. Our Elysian Commercial 3-Way Pull-Out Mixer and Vita Double Kitchen Sink continue the brushed copper finish from the main kitchen.

“As a butler’s, what doesn’t it have? It has absolutely everything!” said Marty Fox, while Shaynna remarked, “I'm going to have to check my finances because I would buy this, 100 percent."

Courtney and Sev’s kitchen takes a refined coastal approach, pairing soft neutral tones with streamlined Chadstone cabinetry in Bleached Grain Woodmatt. Brushed nickel Sense Mini hardware from Momo Handles and stainless steel tapware complement the palette, while a generous island with curved Cosentino Eclos Landr stone edges and full-length seating anchors the space. Integrated appliances and a dedicated bar and wine fridges complete the design.

"There's no way that you're gonna walk in here and not be impressed by the amenities that it includes,” said Darren Palmer while discussing the massive scale of the room and their elite choice of high-end appliances.

The judges were highly impressed by the luxurious inclusions and the soft curves of the joinery.

The connecting pantry continues the warm timber tones, with tall cabinetry and integrated drawers keeping everyday essentials neatly organised. Our Elysian Commercial Pull-Out Mixer in stainless steel features in both the kitchen and pantry, paired with a Vari Single Sink, while the bar includes our Elysian Commercial 3-Way Pull-Out Filter Tap and Ohelu Single Sink.

Rick and Tayla’s kitchen feels soft and contemporary, pairing Polytec Vista cabinetry in Bleached Grain Woodmatt with stone-inspired Cosentino Eclos Tajnar and Sensa surfaces. Brushed nickel Ona Lip and Strano Pull handles from Momo Handles add subtle contrast, while a backlit splashback brings a gentle glow to the workspace. A generous curved island anchors the kitchen, creating plenty of room for gathering and entertaining. 

“The curve is stunning, and it really frames the kitchen beautifully," said Shaynna Blaze. 

Just off the kitchen, the pantry carries through the same warm palette, with open shelving, integrated lighting and pull-out storage keeping everyday essentials organised and within easy reach.

For the kitchen, Rick and Tayla used our Vienna Double Sink in White Granite, and in their pantry, they used our Elysian Commercial Pull-Out Kitchen Mixer in stainless steel, which perfectly complemented the surrounding finishes.

“This is the best butler’s I've seen today,” said Judge Marty Fox. “The functionality works so beautifully,” added Darren Palmer.
