Our Lead Free Tapware Range
Our durable lead free tapware is constructed from premium 316 grade stainless steel.
The National Construction Code (NCC) specifies that from 1 May 2026, lead free tapware will become mandatory at the point of installation in Australia. Clause A5G4 of NCC 2022 Volume Three (Plumbing Code of Australia) specifies that copper alloy plumbing products in contact with drinking water must limit the allowable lead content to a weighted average of no more than 0.25%.
The industry has been allowed three years to make this transition due to the extensive work involved for manufacturers and suppliers. We have already begun this transition, with some of our Sola Stainless Steel range available as a lead free alternative to our brass products. We are actively focused on expanding this range and are in the process of transitioning our brass products to be constructed with lead free brass before the required date.
We are committed to transparency and the safety of our customers and will continue to provide information about the measures we take to minimise lead content.
