We sell solid brass, 304, and premium 316 grade stainless steel lead free tapware.
We have transitioned our brass products to lead free brass ahead of the 1 May 2028 deadline, in line with the National Construction Code (NCC). Lead free tapware is already mandatory at the point of installation in Victoria, and will be mandatory nationally from 1 May 2028.

Our Lead Free Tapware Range
Our durable lead free tapware is constructed from solid brass, 304, and premium 316 grade lead free stainless steel.
The National Construction Code (NCC) specifies that from 1 May 2028, tapware containing copper alloy that does not meet the lead content requirements below will be prohibited from installation in Australia. Clause A5G4 of NCC 2022 Volume Three (Plumbing Code of Australia) specifies that copper alloy plumbing products in contact with drinking water must limit the allowable lead content to a weighted average of no more than 0.25%.
The industry has been given an extended transition period to allow manufacturers and suppliers time to make the necessary changes and ensure compliant products are available.
We have completed our transition so that our brass products now comply with the Plumbing Code of Australia’s lead content requirements, ahead of the 1 May 2028 deadline, with our brass products now constructed using brass that meets this weighted average lead content standard. Our 316 grade stainless steel tapware remains completely lead free, as confirmed by independent testing. We are committed to transparency and the safety of our customers and will continue to provide information about the measures we take to minimise lead content.

Yes, lead is a key ingredient for brass tapware. However, our brass has very low lead content and contains less than half the Australian standard.
When will your other taps become lead free?
We are transitioning our brass products to be constructed with lead free brass before the 1 May 2026 deadline.
Do lead free taps have any other benefits?
