Inside The Block Laundries 2026
With Week 8 underway at Mount Eliza, the Blockheads have turned their attention to the Rumpus Room and Laundry, a $30,000 combined reveal that tests both entertaining flair and everyday function.
For the first time in the show's 22 seasons, the Blockheads are renovating homes with water views, set across six blocks on the Mornington Peninsula, and it's the laundry where form has to answer to plumbing, storage and five loads of washing a week, making it one of the most telling reveals of the season.
As a proud partner of Kinsman Kitchens, official sponsors of The Block 2026, ABI Interiors supplied each team with premium tapware and fixtures for their kitchen and laundry spaces.
Read on to discover each of The Block 2026 laundries in detail, including Sev and Courtney's winning laundry.
House 1 | Adam and Jolene
Adam and Jolene have built a reputation this season for colourful, confident styling, and their laundry carries that same energy into one of the home's hardest-working rooms. Shaker-style cabinetry in a soft oak finish, brass handles, and creamy stone-inspired surfaces carry the same warmth through from their kitchen, with dedicated storage and pull-out shelving keeping cleaning essentials close at hand.
The judges praised the way the space balances practicality with personality. “They’ve ticked all the boxes with functionality in the laundry but added that elevation through all the texture and the colour palette that they have. I feel their consistency is just right on top,” said Shaynna Blaze.
For the laundry, Adam and Jolene chose our Elysian Pull-Out Kitchen Mixer and Seba Single Sink 550mm in Antique Bronze, complete with a matching waste, a warm, matte finish that grounds the space and complements Kinsman's cabinetry.
House 2 | Chantel and Wyatt
Chantel and Wyatt have run an efficient, on-schedule build all season, and their laundry needed to prove there's personality behind the polish. Neutral shaker cupboards and marble-look surfaces keep the space light and cohesive, with a dedicated laundry hamper and pull-out storage doing the heavy lifting for a busy household.
Marty Fox saw it as a benchmark for the space, calling it “a textbook laundry” and adding, “If you were to say give me a great laundry, we’re looking at it.”
Chantel and Wyatt continued the brushed brass accents with our Elysian Pull-Out Kitchen Mixer and matching Sink Basket Waste, paired with our Vienna Single Sink 630mm in White Granite for a soft, textural contrast.
Marty specifically carved out praise for the laundry zone, summarising it by saying: "It’s a very functional space, and aesthetically it presents beautifully."
House 3 | Lisa and Rosco
Lisa and Rosco have leaned on strong bathroom and wet-area craftsmanship this season, and the laundry is another test of that trade know-how. Rich timber-look cabinetry and travertine-inspired surfaces continue the warm, earthy aesthetic from their kitchen, with pull-out shelving and a hanging rail making the most of a smaller footprint.
The judges praised the material palette, from the dark cabinetry and appliances to the stone and brushed copper detailing: “I’m just loving the richness, the stone, the copper, the sink, the open shelves, the hanging, the amount of storage, like it literally has everything,” continued Marty.
They've chosen our Nesso Kitchen Mixer paired with the Seba Single Sink 550mm, both in brushed copper, a rich, warm-toned combination that adds a point of difference to their space.
As one judge put it, “Yeah, there’s no notes, none.”
House 4 | Sev and Courtney
After the first perfect scores of the season in Guest Suite Week, Sev and Courtney head into the laundry with high expectations to match, and this week, they delivered: bleached timber-look cabinetry, curved end modules, and stone-inspired surfaces bring a refined coastal feel, with a laundry hamper cabinet and pull-out shelving keeping the space as functional as it is polished, taking out the win.
“This is heaven,” the judges said, highlighting the generous proportions and considered inclusions: “This has all the amenities you could need, the lovely Oak Kinsman joinery, and this is the largest sink we’ve seen today,” said Darren Palmer.
Their laundry sink is a practical, design-forward choice: the Elysian Commercial Pull-Out Kitchen Mixer and Vari Single Sink 750mm with rack, both in stainless steel, built for a household that runs hard.
As Marty Fox noted, “It’s a simple palette; it’s beautifully laid out, and it has high functionality.”
House 5 | Rick and Tayla
Rick and Tayla have faced some of the season's toughest feedback on scale and audience fit, making this laundry an opportunity to reset. Light timber-look cabinetry and stone-inspired surfaces continue the home's soft, natural palette, with dedicated hampers and thoughtful storage making the most of the space.
The judges agreed, praising the room’s considered planning. “I think the whole layout of this laundry is perfect,” said Shaynna Blaze.
They've paired the Elysian Pull-Out Kitchen Mixer and Sink Basket Waste in Stainless Steel with the Vienna Single Sink 630mm in White Granite, a clean, hardworking combination suited to a busy family laundry.
“It's lovely though, it’s beautiful, this profile, that benchtop, that splashback, all of it’s great,” concluded Shaynna Blaze.
