Beginning life as an old restaurant in Montville, Karma Suites has been reimagined into three carefully considered, light-filled suites in the hinterland. The design direction was shaped by the surrounding landscape, drawing on its warmth, texture, and calm.
“Earthy, natural materials formed the foundation of my design direction for this project,” says Elise Thomson, Founder and Creative Director of Blanco Interiors.
“I selected mountain stone basins and walnut cabinetry to create warmth and depth, and elevated these elements with ABI’s brushed brass fittings, which paired seamlessly with the overall palette. I also wanted to introduce a subtle sense of playfulness, which inspired the travertine wave splashback — a feature I then echoed through the custom wave bedheads in each suite to create continuity and character throughout the spaces.”
