Crafted through a traditional hand-operated moulding technique, these clay tiles are meticulously shaped and prepared for hand-glazing. This careful process ensures each tile has a unique finish. Ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, and feature walls, this pairing blends old-world craftsmanship with modern design sensibility.

What is handmade clay?
Handmade clay is meticulously shaped and prepared using a traditional hand-operated moulding technique. This process ensures that each tile possesses a distinctiveness that reflects the skilled hands involved in its creation. Clay is a durable and long-lasting material that is more resistant to wear and tear over time than many other tile constructions.
How do I clean and maintain my natural clay tiles?
We recommend regular cleaning and frequent deep cleaning to eliminate ingrained dirt and grime. Mix warm water with a pH-neutral cleaner, and use a mop with a soft head and a soft-bristled brush. Please refer to our care guide for more comprehensive cleaning recommendations here.
Where can the handmade clay tiles be installed?
Our handmade clay tiles are designed for wall application only. They can be installed on wall surfaces such as kitchen splashbacks, bathroom walls, shower walls, and more.
Are tiles included in the complimentary shipping offer for orders over $1000?
No, tiles are not included in the complimentary shipping offer. Shipping costs are calculated based on the postcode you enter at checkout and vary depending on your location. You can find a summary of shipping costs by metro, non-metro and regional locations via our help centre.
What are your colour sample pack promotions?
Our sample pack promotion offers include any 3 samples for $9.90 or any 5 samples for 14.90 which will be redeemable on your next order - T&Cs apply. These samples can be selected from any of our colour samples across our range, allowing you to curate your own custom sample pack.
Do handmade tiles require sealing?
These tiles are glazed, so do not require sealing. However, we do recommend sealing glazed handmade tiles if they are to be installed in wet areas, such as shower enclosures or spaces frequently exposed to water. To ensure long-term protection and performance, use a high-quality sealant like Aqua Mix Sealer's Choice Gold Penetrating Sealer.
What is included in my checkerboard tile order, and how much coverage will I get?
Each order covers 1m² and includes two tile colours in equal amounts – 0.5m² of each (2 boxes total).
Can I adjust the ratio of colours?
These bundles are sold in a 50:50 split only. For custom ratios, separate tile purchases are recommended.
Do I need to arrange the checkerboard pattern myself?
Yes. Tiles are provided separately and should be arranged in your desired pattern during installation.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
Yes, the minimum order is 1 m².
