Vehicle Loading Policy

Before selecting local pickup for your order, please ensure you have an appropriate vehicle to collect the goods you purchased. We also recommend having two people collect your order to ensure ease of handling. We care about our team and your safety, so we follow safe practices when you collect your order.

Due to the weight and size of some of our products, not every vehicle will be suitable to pick up your goods. Some of our products may not be heavy but come in oversized packaging. For this reason, please carefully consider the size of the opening to your vehicle. Should you have any concerns, please contact our team in advance, and we would be happy to assist in arranging delivery for your order.

Please see our vehicle loading limits below. Please note that payload weight includes all items, drivers, and passengers in the vehicle*.

Light 4WD Ute 850kg*
Van 750kg*

What are our loading practices?:

  • ABI staff will load items into designated storage locations within a vehicle.
    These include:
    • into the back of a van/truck/trailer where the pallet can be loaded by a forklift without any unstacking/rearranging of pallet;
    • onto the back of a ute/truck/trailer where the pallet can be loaded by a forklift without any stacking/rearranging of pallet; and
    • the boot of a vehicle via the boot door (not including situations where seats must be put down).
  • ABI staff will not load items to non-storage locations within a vehicle.
    These include:
      • Back or front seats (folded or upright) within any vehicle; and
      • Roof racks, on top of vehicles or canopy trailers
  • If a pallet needs to be unstacked/rearranged, loading the order in/onto the vehicle is the customer's responsibility.
  • ABI staff will not assist in securing your load to the vehicle.
  • For safety reasons please ensure adherence to all ABI signage and directions.
  • ABI staff may, in their absolute discretion refuse to load your vehicle if they consider loading the vehicle to be unsafe, hazardous or otherwise not in compliance with the recommended vehicle loading limits.
