Tactile Indicators are textured ground plates designed to help the visually impaired navigate public spaces. The primary function of these warning indicators is to aid in navigation of public spaces and alert individuals to potential hazards.
Our Aliro Tactile Indicators are constructed from 316 stainless steel with ABI HeatShield PVD Electro Colouring System — providing a highly durable and corrosion-resistant finish. To help maintain design continuity, our Tactile Indicators are available in four of our signature finishes: brushed brass, brushed gunmetal, brushed copper, and stainless steel.
Please Note:
– Our Tactile Indicators have been designed to comply with AS/NZS 1428.4.1:2009.
– Our Tactile Indicators have been tested in accordance with AS 4586:2013, with a slip rating of R12 and a wet pendulum rating of P5.
– The Luminance Reflectance Values of our tactile indicators have been tested using compliant testing apparatus in accordance with AS/NZS 1428.4.1:2009. This information can be found under product specifications.
– This product must be installed in accordance with the relevant Australian Standards and regulations. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to consult a professional prior to installation to ensure this product is properly installed. ABI Interiors accepts no liability for damages or non-compliance with the Standards occurring as a result of improper installation or any other failure to comply with the applicable regulatory requirements.

Our Tactile Indicators are sold in packs of 36, or can be purchased individually.
How do I install the Tactile Indicators?
Please consult a qualified tradesperson for installation of this product — instructions can be found under the Product Documents tab. A 6x6 square installation template is included with purchase. We also recommend a soft rubber mallet (not provided) for installation to prevent damage to the PVD finish.
