The Avi pop up waste can be universally installed with an overflow basin and non-overflow basin. However, If you are purchasing a non-ABI basin, the waste hole must be a minimum of 42mm.

How do I best clean the Lola Basin Sink (Overflow)?
Clean any marks or stains as soon as they occur. Clean with warm soapy water and a microfibre cloth to remove most markings or use a cream-based cleanser. Fine grade sandpaper can be used to remove stains or markings in some instances - fine grit sandpaper is included with your purchase.
Do the wastes act as an overflow, and how do they work with overflow basins?
Wastes themselves do not act as overflow prevention. When the waste or plug is pushed down (closed), the basin will fill and can potentially overflow. However, basins with an integrated overflow outlet are designed to prevent this. As the basin fills, any excess flows through the overflow outlet and into the waste pipe at a rate of 9L per minute — helping to prevent the water from spilling over.
When the waste is open and the basin is clear of blockages, water should drain normally without reaching the overflow level.
