EXPLORING MINIMALIST APARTMENT INTERIOR DESIGN
Guided by their minimalist philosophy, the founders of fashion brand St. Agni have designed ‘Apartamento’ — a guest retreat where design and fashion enthusiasts can be immersed in a less-is-more lifestyle.
An open-plan design and ample natural light inspire a sense of space while further exploring the concept of understated luxury.
We take a closer look at this Byron Bay apartment and all of its simple pleasures in our apartment tour below.

Upon ascending the stairs, you’re warmly welcomed by the open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area. Like a gentle wave approaching the ocean shore, a sense of calm washes over you — a product of the elegant minimalism underpinning the apartment’s design.
By creating an uncomplicated space, the mind is given some room to breathe. This is essential when it comes time to unwind at the end of a busy day, and is a reminder that home should be your personal sanctuary.
Apartamento also celebrates the grounding benefits of the natural environment. An earthy colour palette embraces raw concrete and timber to promote an easygoing appeal, while brushed brass tapware instils an element of refinement.
The bathroom best encapsulates the St. Agni aesthetic, proudly endorsing the joys of simplicity.
A characterful mirror is the clear hero piece in this space, with its organic shape replicating a button that was used in a past collection.
Texture, form, and function meet in the art-like vanity, while sand-coloured kit-kat tiles form the base of the neutral scheme.
Finally, a grey stone wall-hung basin and brushed brass features support the surrounding bathroom design.
The bedroom is inherently the place we withdraw to when seeking restoration, and Apartamento certainly champions this notion.
Light dances through the expansive windows to uplift the space, while being lightly softened by linen sheers.
Crisp whites are subtly contrasted with black window frames, accentuating the effortlessly beautiful and artfully minimal experience within this abode.
