Spouts FAQs
What spout reach do I need for my sink or basin?
Your spout should extend roughly to the centre of the basin or sink to prevent splashback. Compact basins suit shorter reaches, while larger basins or tubs require longer ones.
Are bath fillers and freestanding spouts the same?
Not exactly. Bath fillers are wall- or hob-mounted outlets for built-in baths. For standalone baths, freestanding spouts are floor-mounted, combining function with a sculptural design feature.
What types of spouts are available?
We have spouts in the following configurations:
- Wall-Mounted: minimalist, great for basins and baths
- Bench-Mounted (Hob): installed on the bath ledge or vanity top
- Freestanding: statement spouts for freestanding baths
- Swivel: rotate for flexibility, ideal in kitchens and laundries

What’s the difference between slip-fit and threaded spouts?
Slip-Fit: This type of spout slides over a pipe and is secured with a set screw, allowing for a quick and easy installation.
Threaded (IPS): This spout screws directly onto a threaded pipe, providing a tighter, more secure seal.
What is a spout aerator?
It’s a small fitting at the tip of the spout. An aerator smooths the water stream, reduces splashing, saves water, and helps regulate pressure.
How do I choose the right spout for my room?
Match the spout to your installation and room use:
Kitchen: Gooseneck or swivel for clearance and flexibility
Bathroom: Wall-mounted, hob-mounted, or freestanding, depending on bath/basin setup
Laundry: Swivel or gooseneck for utility
Outdoor: 316 Stainless steel for durability
Can spouts be used externally?
While our warranty does not cover our indoor spout range, we offer outdoor tapware constructed from 316 stainless steel that’s designed specifically for external environments.
How would you recommend cleaning spouts?
We recommend regularly cleaning your spouts with mild liquid detergent, soap, and water. Avoid using cream cleaners, bleach, or cleaning pads with abrasive surfaces, as these substances may scratch the material. Please consult our product care guide for further cleaning advice.
