ABI Interiors’ Aliro Collection Featured on Australia ByDesign Innovations

ABI Interiors is proud to share that our Aliro Collection was recently showcased in Season 6 of the acclaimed Australia ByDesign Innovations television series, which aired nationwide on Network 10 in late 2024.

Australia ByDesign Innovations takes viewers on a journey across the country to spotlight groundbreaking advancements in design and innovation. From life-changing medical technologies to everyday consumer products that enhance how we live, the series explores what it takes to turn an idea into an impactful solution. It celebrates Australian ingenuity and the people behind the innovations shaping our future.

Episode 6 takes viewers inside our state-of-the-art Gold Coast Showroom, offering a behind-the-scenes look at our Research and Development Lab and introducing some of the key minds behind Aliro’s accessible, ambulant, and assisted living product range.

At the heart of ABI Interiors’ Aliro Collection is a simple yet powerful belief: beautiful design should be accessible to all. From residential homes to commercial and rehabilitation spaces, Aliro provides a refined and functional solution for accessible, ambulant, and assisted living environments.

The range is constructed from highly durable 316 stainless steel, offering superior anti-corrosive properties that include chloride resistance. Thoughtfully designed to meet accessible and ambulant-compliant standards, the Aliro range includes grab rails, tapware, basins, shower sets, tactile indicators, accessible toilet suites, and accessories — all available in four signature finishes that bring a refined, contemporary edge to accessible spaces.

Aliro goes beyond compliance — it reimagines how accessible products look and function. The collection features a modular system with interchangeable components, including grab rails in a variety of configurations. This flexibility allows for more tailored installations that suit a wide range of spaces and needs.

A standout feature of the grab rails is the custom-engineered bracket system, capable of supporting over 1100kN — marking a significant advancement in industry standards. The design has also been visually refined by removing the traditional backplate and introducing a slim 32mm bracket that mirrors the rail diameter, resulting in a more seamless and sophisticated finish.

Every detail of the Aliro Collection has been meticulously considered — not only to meet but to exceed AS1428.1:2021 Standards. It’s a testament to our commitment to combining form, function, and inclusive values in all we do.

Aliro has been recognised by Good Design Australia in the Product Design category for outstanding innovation and was awarded the prestigious Good Design Award Best in Class.
